We are seeking a
Full-Time WordPress Backend Support and Sysadmin to join our team and manage the technical backend environments of the clients' websites. This role focuses on ensuring the smooth functionality, maintenance, and optimization of WordPress websites and their server infrastructures. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine WordPress theme and plugin updates to ensure site security and functionality.
- Conduct regular site checks, verifying forms, email delivery, and overall site health.
- Monitor and maintain servers and hosting environments to prevent downtime or performance issues.
- Oversee and troubleshoot email servers (e.g., Mailgun) to ensure proper email delivery services.
- Manage and update DNS records as needed for domain configurations.
- Execute website migrations, particularly using tools like Cloudways, with minimal disruption.
- Provide technical support to clients, resolving backend issues efficiently and effectively.
- Collaborate with other team members to improve workflows and system processes.
- Stay updated on WordPress developments and best practices to enhance website performance and security.
Requirements
Proven experience managing WordPress backend environments, including theme/plugin updates, DNS management, and site migrations.
Strong knowledge of hosting environments and server monitoring tools (e.g., Cloudways, cPanel, Plesk).
Familiarity with email servers and troubleshooting (e.g., Mailgun, SMTP configurations).
Proficiency in DNS record management, domain settings, and website migrations.
Solid understanding of website performance optimization and WordPress security best practices.
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
Friendly, personable attitude with a proactive and solutions-focused mindset.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks effectively.
