Currently, we are seeking a Software Engineer (PHP) for the Checkout team. You will play an essential role in our platform's success by joining the team responsible for enhancing the checkout process and post booking experience. Your expertise in PHP development will be instrumental in delivering seamless user experiences and optimizing the booking flow for our users.
In this role, you will - Write clean, efficient and maintainable code, adhering to coding standards and best practices to ensure the platform's stability and scalability
- Identify and address technical challenges and bottlenecks related to the technology stack to continuously improve the platform's functionality and user experience
- Choose adequate technical and business metrics to monitor features and manage the risk
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other developers, to plan, design, and implement new features and improvements to the rental details page and checkout process using PHP and Symfony framework
What you will bring - 2+ years of experience in building backend applications in PHP, ideally with Symfony
- Know how to design clean, scalable, and testable systems using SOLID principles and design patterns
- Experience with asynchronous task management with Amazon SQS
- Experience with SQL and relational database (MySQL/MariaDB)
- Experience in building and operating high-scale distributed systems
- Familiarity with containerized development using Docker (Kubernetes knowledge is a plus)
- Test-Driven Development mindset and care deeply about code quality and reliability
- Fluency in Lithuanian and English and enjoying working in cross-functional, international teams
