Software Engineer, PHP

We are looking for a highly skilled Software Engineer with a strong background in PHP to join our team. This role will be a key player in driving 20% year-over-year growth in Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR) through our direct sales channel by creating high-converting web content that engages visitors and drives conversions. You will work closely with the marketing and sales teams to develop and optimize web pages, ensuring they are fully functional, efficient, and aligned with business objectives. Key Responsibilities:

• PHP Development & Web Content Optimization:
• • Develop and maintain high-performance, scalable PHP-driven web pages, ensuring seamless user experience and conversion optimization.
  • Create 50-100 new web pages annually, improving internal linking and implementing effective CTAs.
  • Optimize content for SEO, UX, and conversion, with a focus on utilizing PHP to enhance site functionality and performance.
• Collaboration & Cross-Functional Work:
• • Partner with marketing, sales, and UX/UI teams to design and deliver web content that aligns with company standards and user experience best practices.
  • Provide technical support to Business Development Representatives (BDRs) and Account Executives (AEs), aiding in converting leads into customers.
  • Work closely with Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure accurate and functional implementation of web features.
• Technical Development & System Enhancements:
• • Leverage PHP expertise to design and implement software features that improve the overall functionality of the website and web applications.
  • Contribute to system architecture improvements to enhance both technical performance and user experience.
  • Troubleshoot issues and implement technical solutions to maintain and improve web page performance.
• Web Analytics & Performance Tracking:
• • Utilize web analytics tools to monitor and assess page performance, identify areas for improvement, and optimize for higher conversion rates.
  • Regularly test and update pages to ensure functionality, speed, and user experience standards are met.
• Full-Stack Development:
• • Collaborate with other developers to enhance overall web application architecture, ensuring scalability and robustness.
  • Manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency in PHP code.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong experience with PHP development, with a solid understanding of best practices for building and maintaining web applications.
• Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Hands-on experience in creating and maintaining web pages, optimizing for SEO, UX, and conversion through PHP-driven solutions.
• Familiarity with web performance monitoring tools and analytics to track page performance and user behavior.
• Ability to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, particularly marketing, sales, and design teams, to deliver high-impact web content.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize PHP code.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to translate business requirements into functional web solutions.

Compensation: 

Harbor Compliance’s base salary range for this role is listed below. Compensation at the time of offer is based on factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of Harbor Compliance’s total compensation package. Other benefits may include health benefits, flexible paid time off, parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k), and educational reimbursement. Note that the salary range and benefits apply only to U.S.-based candidates.

Harbor Compliance base salary range for this role in the U.S. is:

(Salary range $105,000 - $115,000 USD). Additionally, this role might be eligible for discretionary bonuses or commission payments.
