Job Role: Magento/Shopify Project Manager
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 9 AM - 5 PM (AU Time Zone)
Salary range: 2000 - 3000 AUD Monthly

Role Overview: The client is seeking for a diligent and proficient Lead Ecomm Digital Producer to join their remote development team. This pivotal role is tailored for a candidate with a robust technical background in Ecomm (preferably Magento and Shopify), tempered with solid project management and team leadership experience. Exceptional English communication skills are essential, as the successful candidate will interact with both clients and our leadership team based in Australia. This position is ideal for a highly organized individual with a proven track record in e-commerce or web development. There will be a strong focus on managing client relationships, responding to client communications in a timely manner, delivering projects to high standards, and coordinating cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Magento/Shopify Development and Troubleshooting:
- Develop, troubleshoot, and optimise e-commerce websites to guarantee optimal performance, reliability, and security.
- Conduct code audits, performance reviews, security patching, and manage cloud environment setups, configurations, upgrades, and data migration.
- Ensure all deliverables meet high-quality standards and align with client expectations.
- Client Project Management:
- Oversee the end-to-end management of web development projects, particularly on Magento and/or Shopify-based platforms, to ensure all deliverables are completed on time and within scope.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates, managing expectations, and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Communicate effectively regarding in-scope and out-of-scope work, escalating issues when necessary to maintain client satisfaction.
- Team Leadership and Coordination:
- Collaborate with and delegate tasks to development teams across Magento, Shopify, and CMS Projects, ensuring alignment on project goals.
- Work closely with designers, solution architects, QA testers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-standard projects.
- Lead sprint planning sessions and performance reviews, managing team morale and ensuring effective task delegation.
- Project Documentation and Technical Support:
- Formulate and dissect technical details for development tickets and transform plans into actionable technical documents.
- Act as the primary liaison for project management work, guiding software development teams and maintaining effective project documentation.
- Facilitate stakeholder and user workshops to ensure mutual understanding of project objectives and expectations.
- Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
- Collaborate closely with the QA team to ensure all deliverables meet required standards before client delivery.
- Identify project risks early and develop strategies to mitigate them, keeping stakeholders informed about any potential impacts on timelines or quality.
- Scope, Timeline, and Methodology Management:
- Clearly communicate with clients regarding project scope, handling change requests and approvals before proceeding with out-of-scope work.
- Proactively manage project timelines, deliverables, and methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) to meet client and project needs.
- Act as the point of escalation for the broader remote team, ensuring seamless client management and alignment with the Australia team.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Technical Proficiency:
- Extensive experience with e-commerce, Magento/Shopify, including a minimum of 5 years in hands-on development and project management, and familiarity with third-party extensions and core platform functions.
- Broad experience with digital solutions across web and e-commerce platforms, including familiarity with Shopify and WordPress.
- Project Management Expertise:
- Minimum of 3 years in project management, with a strong focus on e-commerce or web development.
- Skilled in using project management tools like Asana and Jira, and able to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Client Communication and Relationship Building:
- Superior English communication skills, both written and verbal, to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to clearly manage and communicate project scope, timelines, and budgets, and maintain high levels of client satisfaction through strong relationship-building skills.
- Leadership and Team Coordination:
- Strong leadership, delegation, and time management skills to manage a team effectively and drive project success.
- High level of attention to detail, proactive problem-solving abilities, and a dedication to delivering brilliant project outcomes.
Requirements
- Must have 5+ years of hands-on experience with Magento/Shopify development and project management, including third-party extensions and platform functions. Broad expertise in digital solutions, particularly Shopify and WordPress.
- At least 3 years managing e-commerce/web development projects using tools like Asana and Jira, with the ability to handle multiple projects in dynamic environments.
- Excellent English communication skills for engaging stakeholders, managing project scope, timelines, and budgets, and fostering strong client relationships.
- Proven ability to lead teams, delegate tasks effectively, and deliver high-quality results with strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving.
