If you thrive in distributed environments, care deeply about code quality, and enjoy working with event-driven architectures, you’ll feel right at home at Fever.</p><p>You will work on the backend systems that power large-scale experiences, payments, reconciliation processes and high-traffic flows used by millions of users worldwide 🌍.</p><p><strong>What would you do at Fever?</strong></p><p><strong>On your first month in Fever:</strong></p><ul><li>Get fully onboarded into Fever’s engineering culture, our architecture, and our technical stack (PHP 8, microservices, Docker, AWS, CI/CD).</li><li>Work closely with your team in plannings, groomings and retrospectives.</li><li>Make your first contributions to production systems with several PRs merged.</li><li>Understand and interact with core services: authentication, payments, reconciliation, operational tools.</li><li>Attend one of Fever’s experiences like Candlelight ✨.</li></ul><p><strong>After 3 months in Fever:</strong></p><ul><li>Design and implement backend solutions end-to-end: from architecture to production-ready code.</li><li>Develop and maintain high-performance PHP services and APIs following OpenAPI/Swagger contracts.</li><li>Contribute to cross-team projects, architecture discussions and internal engineering initiatives.</li><li>Own monitoring, performance, reliability and observability of the modules you work on (logs, metrics, tracing).</li><li>Collaborate with infra, product, frontend and backend teams in a highly dynamic environment.</li></ul><p><strong>On your 6th month in Fever:</strong></p><ul><li>Own and evolve critical parts of Fever’s distributed system architecture.</li><li>Lead the design and implementation of a new microservice from scratch to production.</li><li>Drive improvements in scalability, resiliency, performance and code quality.</li><li>Mentor teammates through code reviews, technical design sessions and pair programming.</li><li>Join team buildings and engineering-wide activities.</li></ul><h2>About you</h2><p><strong>Your responsibilities: <br></strong></p><ul><li>Design, build and maintain backend APIs and services for critical business domains (payments, reconciliation, fiscal automation, logistics).</li><li>Work on high-concurrency systems focusing on stability, resiliency, and traceability.</li><li>Integrate external services with complex and mission-critical logic.</li><li>Participate actively in architectural decisions to ensure scalability and maintainability.</li><li>Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployment workflows.</li><li>Use Docker for local and production environments, and AWS services (SQS, Lambdas, CloudWatch, SNS, S3…) for distributed infrastructure.</li><li>Promote engineering excellence through clean code, testing and continuous improvement.</li><li>Collaborate in an agile, cross-functional squad with backend, infra, QA and product.</li></ul><p><strong>Must have skills:</strong></p><ul><li>Robust experience building backend systems, especially using PHP 8+.</li><li>Solid experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs at scale.</li><li>Deep understanding of MySQL and PostgreSQL.</li><li>Strong knowledge of microservices, distributed systems, concurrency and event-driven architectures.</li><li>Experience with Docker, CI/CD pipelines and delivering software from dev to production.</li><li>Good technical judgment: you know when to iterate fast and when to reinforce stability.</li><li>Experience with testing and code quality tools (PHPUnit, PHPStan, SonarCloud).</li><li>Excellent command of Git and collaborative development.</li><li>Professional proficiency in English.</li></ul><p>It would be a plus if you have experience in:</p><ul><li>Experience with AWS infrastructure (SQS, Lambdas, CloudWatch, ECS/EKS).</li><li>Experience with Redis, caching strategies and message queues like Kafka or RabbitMQ.</li><li>Familiarity with frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel or Slim.</li><li>Observability tools (Datadog or similar).</li><li>Experience handling services with 1,000+ requests/second.</li><li>Background integrating critical external APIs (payments, financial systems).</li><li>Experience working in agile, cross-functional international
