Senior Backend Developer - PHP

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and maintaining our backend infrastructure. You'll be working on exciting projects, leveraging your skills in PHP as well as your experience with frameworks like Symfony. Additionally, you will contribute to the efficiency and scalability of our systems, ensuring seamless integration with various technologies.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience shipping production code in PHP (Experience with development in other programming languages for backend development will also be considered for example GO, JAVA or any relevant programming language).
• Familiarity with PHP Symfony framework, Laravel experience will be considered in case of no prior Symfony experience.
• Production experience with message queues (AWS SNS/SQS, RabbitMQ, or similar AMQP based technology).
• Proficiency with Docker or similar container platforms.
• Experience with Restful or RPC-based APIs.
• Ability to write behavior-based test suites using PHPUnit.
• Continuous deployment.
• Fluent in English.
• Fundamental knowledge of the limitations of PHP gained through production experience.

Additional Preferred Skills:

• Experience with AWS.
• Demonstrated leadership skills and a curiosity to find solutions to complex problems, even when dealing with legacy code bases.
