The Drupal Developer will work under the supervision of the Development Manager and he/she will be a key member of a scrum team working in an Agile Safe and Dev SecOps culture. The project involves replacing HCL Web Content Manager (WCM) and HCL Connections with a modern, accessible, and scalable Drupal 11-based platform hosted in AWS (ECS Fargate).The ideal candidate will have Drupal expertise with full-stack experience and knowledge, including backend architecture, front end theming, accessibility, and CI/CD integration. The developer will work in an Agile team alongside DevOps, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver a secure, performant, and intuitive user experience across multiple web applications.ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES: <ul><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Build and optimize scalable backend functionality in Drupal 11.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Perform UI development using Drupal technologies.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Leverage Drupal Views, Menus, Media Library, and field UI for content structuring.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Collaborate with UX designers and consume design mockups from tools like Figma.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Integrate Amazon S3 for secure document storage using Drupal Media entities.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Support multi-site architecture and dynamic content structures.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Build responsive, accessible Drupal UIs using Twig, SCSS, and Layout Builder.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Customize UI/UX for group-based collaboration and dynamic content templates.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and cross-functional collaboration.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Assist with UAT, integrate business feedback, and mentor junior developers.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.</li></ul>REQUIRED EXPERIENCE: <ul><li style="font-size: 12pt;">5+ years of experience in Drupal UI development, including entity/field APIs and routing.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">3 to 5 years of Drupal frontend development: Twig, SCSS, Layout Builder, custom theming.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Minimum 2 projects on Drupal 9 or 10</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience with Drupal Group module, Media entities, and configuration management (e.g., Config Split).</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Proficiency in Composer, Drush, Git, and Jenkins pipelines.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Demonstrated ability to meet 508/WCAG accessibility standards.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Candidates must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Candidates must have lived in the United States 3 out of the past 5 years</li></ul>PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: <ul><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Acquia Certified Drupal Developer (or equivalent).</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Experience with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53 compliance requirements.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with Figma or other UX design handoff tools.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Prior experience working on Federal Government projects or CMS contracts.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Knowledge with AWS services: S3, ECS, CloudFront, Secrets Manager.</li></ul>EDUCATION & CERTIFICATIONS:<ul><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Excellent problem-solving, mentoring, and collaboration skills.</li><li style="font-size: 12pt;">Ability to translate stakeholder requirements into scalable, user-friendly solutions.</li></ul><div class="content-conclusion">WHAT WE OFFER: At Sparksoft, we know that people do their best work when they feel supported, inspired, and connected.
