Back-End Software Engineer -PHP Laravel

We are seeking a Back-End Software Engineer with solid experience in PHP Laravel to build and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance web services and APIs. You’ll be working on a growing platform that powers web and mobile applications, including third-party integrations and business critical workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end services and RESTful APIs using PHP Laravel.

• Collaborate with front-end and mobile developers to define API contracts and deliver data efficiently.

• Integrate with external systems using APIs (REST, SOAP, XML).

• Optimize database queries and ensure scalable system performance.

• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality and coverage.

• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and sprint planning.

• Contribute to system documentation, deployment readiness, and DevOps best practices.

• Help troubleshoot live issues and improve system reliability.

Requirements

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

• 3+ years of experience.

• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer, with expertise in Laravel PHP framework.

• Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, jQuery, JavaScript.

• Strong understanding of software engineering principles, algorithms, and data structures.

• Solid working understanding of database architecture and query optimization (MySQL, MS SQL, and PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB and DynamoDB).

• Familiarity with web servers (e.g., Apache) and UI/UX design

• Familiarity with version control systems, especially Git.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. • Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non technical stakeholders.

• Designing and Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes.

• Familiarity with Software Design Patterns and Software Architectural Patterns.

• Code quality and unit tests mean something to you.

• Performance-oriented towards optimized web applications using Laravel framework.

• Familiar/involved with open-source projects. • Strong background of Nginx and lamp.

• Familiarity with Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket) or similar.
